A word from the President
IDMAJ Foundation For Development (formerly known as Neighborhoods Association Idmaj) was established in response to the international economic crisis, Middle East conflicts, power struggles, starvation, deadly diseases, and the rise of extremism. In 2006, a group of young high school students founded IDMAJ Neighborhoods Association, focusing on marginalized, poor, underserved, and underprivileged neighborhoods. They organized workshops on citizenship, leadership, self-confidence, volunteerism, life skills, and social mediation techniques. They also established the first Cultural Center in Sidi Moumen in 2006, offering an educational, cultural, and artistic program.
Despite fifteen years since Idmaj's creation and the founding of the Sidi Moumen Cultural Center, the world remains plagued by crises, such as the Middle East's implosion, refugee fleeing, climate change, the Arab Spring, increasing unemployment, and the rise of ISIS. The Idmaj and Sidi Moumen Cultural Center have made a significant impact on communities and neighborhoods, with numerous success stories to share during their fifteenth anniversary. The organization remains humble and modest in their mission to change the world and save the youth.
